This project aims to develop the Departure Bay Eco-School Grounds Design through a participatory process, building on existing community strengths, promoting local capacity building, and creating an open, safe, fun and most importantly, an educational environment for youth to connect and develop.

South End Community Food Forest
In partnership with the South End Community Association (SECA) and the Samaritan House, MyCDC designed and is in the process of helping to implement a plan to convert a vacant lot into the first public food forest in Nanaimo.

Art in the Food Forest- Food Art Fun
The Art in the Food Forest project was launched on August 13th 2016. It was a hit! The project is an attempt to use public outdoor spaces to build community & promote creativity, and health.
